No, Anemostat has successfully passed positive pressure fire tests UL-10C or UBC 7.2-97) using our own closed cell foam tape for 20/45 minutes (1296 sq. in.), and 60/90 minutes (100 sq. in.). We have also tested and been approved for use with Pemko’s intumescent glazing tape (FG3000) on sizes of glass that can exceed the standard 20/45 minute at 1296 sq. in. and the 60/90 minute at 100 sq. in. When in doubt, check with the wood or metal door manufacturers procedures, to insure the correct installation, because some do require its use.
