Do I have to use a MyCR email account?
YES!!!. This email address is your official email address through which College of the Redwood’s sends email communications and is recorded in the college’s electronic directories and student records. Students are expected to check their email on a frequent and consistent basis to stay current with college-related communications. If an individual wishes to have email forwarded from their MyCR account to another email address (e.g., @hotmail.com, @aol.com, or a personal @gmail address), the individual may do so, but at his or her own risk. The college is not responsible for the handling of e-mail by outside vendors. Having email forwarded does not change your responsibility for reading and responding to official communications sent to your MyCR e-mail account.
