Do I have to register with the Codoxware repository to use the CodoxWord?
No. You don’t have to have an account on the public Codoxware repository server to use the CodoxWord. You can join a collaboration session by accepting the “email invitation” from a collaborator who has an account with a Codoxware repository server (but you don’t have to have an account on the repository server). Alternatively, you can join a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) CodoxWord collaboration session by directly connecting to your collaborator’s machine via the IP address (with the permission of the collaborator). Work is on the way to support users to start p2p CodoxWord sessions from existing p2p Internet services (e.g. IM). In p2p CodoxWord sessions, collaborators do not need to share a common document repository, but they can share and co-edit a common document from any collaborator’s private document repository. It is the private repository owner who decides which private document is to be shared for co-editing.
