Do I have to pay the costs of the CRB application if the CRB decides that the job position does not qualify for a free application?
If the free status of a volunteer application is rejected by the CRB, the CRB will charge CRC its fee, and we will seek to recover this fee and our full administration charge either from the applicant or from the employing organisation. In order to qualify for a waiver of the fee under the CRB definition of a Volunteer the applicants position must conform to the CRBs definition of a volunteer, and the applicant must specify what their position will be. It is not sufficient to state that you are a volunteer as this is a status not a position. If this occurs the CRB will not waive the fee and CRC will expect the employer to pay in full for that application.
