Do I have to participate in melee combat in order to participate in Tracon?
No, melee combat participation is optional. In order for Tracon to work, there must be many people who wish to participate in the environment yet not participate in combat. These people would be persons who play the part of NPCs, or non-player characters. These people help move the story along between combats. NPCs can also serve as support personnell during combat, such as blacksmiths and healers.
