Do I have to loosen the rub rail to install the StreaX on my boat?

No. Weve added a strip of marine-grade adhesive to the StreaX so that you dont have to remove the rub rail in order to install StreaX. In some instances, you may want to tuck the upper edge of the StreaX underneath the rub rail if you can (stainless steel rub rails can often be loosened by removing the screws that hold it in place). Molded plastic or fiberglass rub rails are not easily loosened, so just install the StreaX as close to the rail as possible using the adhesive strip to hold them in place.
