Do I have to install the My KVM Networks client on my servers to operate SLACi?
No! SLACI can be deployed as an administrator tool to manage all device port alignment remotely. The installation computer can be independent of the switch system, or a computer managed on the switch infrastructure so all workstation consoles have operating access to SLACi. How do I operate SLACi from user workstations? Install SLACi on any computer connected to the switch. Use the embedded hot-key or OSD functions to select SLACi management computer. Use the SLACi interface to align computer and workstation locations or execute remote management infrastructure administration. Also see My KVM Networks. TIP: In the switch OSD (on-screen-display), edit the port name of the SLACi installation computer port so it appears at the top of the sorted OSD list.
