Do i have to have Halo 2 on my hard drive in order to mod?
Yes and no. For the “new” maps (ones from either map update) yes. For the “old” maps (the ones originally on the Halo 2 disk) you can either have Halo 2 on your hard drive or use a disk. However most users prefer to story their game on the hard drive so that they don’t have to burn a new disk whenever they want to change something.
