Do I have to foster a rescue Westie before I can adopt one?
Potential Adoptive homes must complete a minimum of three months of Foster Care with the Westie prior to the adoption being finalized. During this time, they will be visited by a volunteer/representative and contact maintained via visit, phone or e-mail to ensure that this is a good match for all concerned. The length and frequency of these contacts and/or visits will be at the discretion of the volunteer/representative but should not be less than once per month and may be pre-arranged or unannounced drop-ins as they deem necessary.
