Do I have to complete the mandatory training and pass the exam before I can be licenced?
No. There is a provision for an individual to be issued with a temporary licence, which allows him/her to be licenced for a period of not more than 6 months while satisfying the mandatory training requirements. Once training has been successfully achieved, the individual may then apply for a regular licence. Mandatory training applies only to security guards at this time.
