Do I have to compete in an official preliminary to be eligable for state?

A. – Yes, we have never been an “at large” state pageant. By requiring contestants to qualify in an official preliminary we try to insure that everyone who comes to the state competition is prepared for a higher level of competition. We want to be fair and honest……………….allowing someone to compete at a state level competition who’s unprepared in our eyes would not be ethical! This way, contestants who do qualify are better prepared to compete at a state level competition.
