Do I have to be licensed to offer and conduct rental property management services in Colorado?

Answer Yes – you must get a RE license – all but 14 states require a RE license to be a “fee” manager – meaning manage properties for others. If you choose to become a “fee” manager without a license, the minute the “real property managers” find out about you, your life will not be worth living…..professional property managers work hard to promote their profession and getting rid of people in the profession who do not have the knowledge, education and expertise to manage effectively is high on our list with state legislators… Get a license, get educated and don’t think that undercutting their fees will make a difference with would-be clients – I charge the highest fees in my area and have more business than I can shake my tennis bracelet at….
