• You do not have to be employed with any law enforcement agency for Basic class attendance at MLEOTA. You must be 21 years of age with at least a high school diploma or its equivalence. You must be of good moral character and no criminal history. You must also be able to show proof of medical insurance coverage during the duration of the ten (10) week training process. All self sponsored recruits must have their own firearm and mode of transportation for firearms training and the driving courses (does not have to be a police cruiser).
