Do I have to actually build the parts to the Aerolite and what tools will I need?
No, all the parts are already built for you. There really isn t any fabricating, welding or cutting of parts during the assembly of your stock Aerolite. You will pop a few dozen rivets, put a bunch of nuts and bolts together (kind of like a big Erector set) and the only cutting required will be done with a pair of scissors. The only tools needed are basic hand tools such as wrenches, hand drill, level, square pop-rivet gun (a good one with strong long handles or an air pop-rivet gun the cheap-one and small air compressor) and measuring tape. The only odd item might be a cable swagger used to swage your rudder cables. You don t want to buy one as they are very expensive, but if you visit your local airport or flying club, they are sure to either lend or rent one to you. You are only assembling the Aerolite from a pre-fabricated kit. That will contain many pre-assemble assemblies.
