Do i have Major Depressive Disorder?
If you have depression then you have major depressive disorder otherwise they would have said that you have dysthymia or if only present with seasonal changes then SAD. Major depressive disorder is depression in other terms. As you were hospitalised I am presuming you were suffering a depressive episode, which was pervasive enough to not come under dysthymia. However, I don’t know any of your other symptoms or situation as such the depressive episode could be down to external traumatic factors or come in conjunction with other symptoms as such becoming a different disorder. If you are too embarrased to ask your psych you could write to see your files.
