Do i have a good shot at transfering to nyu or tufts university?
Some schools, like NYU and probably Tufts, require a certain GPA for them to even take your transfer application, much less accept you into the school. For NYU, it’s probably somewhere around 3.5, and I’m pretty sure that that means a cumulative GPA of 3.5, not in a single semester. I’ve never heard of a person taking the SAT over while in college in order to transfer, but I know that they will request your high school transcript to get a better idea of the progress you’ve made since then…and if you’re applying for Fall of 2010, they’ll really only see your grades from freshman year and the first semester of your sophomore year. Transferring into NYU is extremely competitive and a lot of qualified students of the class of 2012 who were rejected (and there were a lot) because there wasn’t enough room for them will most likely be re-applying. It’ll definitely be tough and you shouldn’t get your hopes up, it’s a jungle out there because the class of 2012 and 2013 are the biggest in Amer
