You are not technically “stateless” because you must have some papers showing that you are from Kosovo (it’s interesting how you got into the UK). Also the fact that you have been granted indefinite leave to stay shows that you are recognised by the system as a legitimate immigrant – an asylum seeker perhaps. I would not worry too much about the lack of a birth certificate. In fact, many refugees deliberately destroy their papers and still succeed in getting nautralised. The Home Office knows all about the chaos in Kosovo and will be understanding. Just go ahead and apply and they will sort your citizenship out in no time at all.
