Do I buy used car in ebay or local used car dealer?

Depends on what car you want to buy, if you are just looking for a car in a certain price brand and aren’t too bothered about make / model then look at what is on offer locally. The advantage of buying off a local dealer is you are protected by the sale of goods act, if the car turns out to be a lemon, not fit for purpose i.e. driving, they either have to fix it or give you your money back within a short period (a couple of weeks?). If you buy off a private individual you aren’t covered in the same way. If you have a definite idea of what car you want then Ebay and other Internet car sites are a good way of tracking a car down. I’ve bought 3 cars off Ebay, they were good and I first saw the car s when I went to collect them, the cars were in England I live in Ireland, I only paid up when I saw the cars and I have reasonable mechanical knowledge about the specific cars I was buying.
