Do I apply natural bermuda grass fertilizer differently from chemical fertilizers?
Yes, a little bit. However, the main difference is in frequency. First, realize that one source of natural fertilizer that you already have at your fingertips is the bermuda grass clippings themselves. If you are mowing your bermuda grass two or three times a week, you may not want to mulch and leave the clippings behind every time but you should consider mulching as you mow two or three times a month. Organic fertilizer usually takes longer to green your bermuda grass lawn than chemical fertilizers but they also last longer. If you’re following our suggested fertilization schedule for inorganic fertilizers we simply recommend that you apply organic fertilizer less frequently during the bermuda grass growing season: once every six to eight weeks rather than every five or six.
