Do Hyundai/Kia still have reputation for being inferior and unreliable cars?
Korean made cars have a bad reputation because when they first came to the US, they were awful. Horrible, really. Lately, though, they’ve really stepped up their quality and have become something to definitely look into if you’re on a budget. Hyundai I know was one of the first car companies to offer a 100k mile warranty, and you can’t offer something like that without having the quality to back it up. The Hyundai Elantra has been viewed by many review sites as a car that rivals the Honda Accord or Civic. Dependability and reliability vary between models, so be sure to do a lot of research into the specific car.
