Do hotels and guesthouses have adequate heat, electricity and plumbing facilities?
The rated hotels in Lijiang have all of the above. (Air conditioning is normally never needed in Lijiang, even in high summer.) With small inns and guesthouses, this may vary. Usable electrical outlets should be available any place in the city. Plumbing facilities are more than adequate most places around town but can be crude at some locations. Outside of hotels and some restaurants, heating is not available in most public places in Lijiang, so guests traveling in winter months will want to dress and pack for chilly temperatures and expect that a number of the guesthouses in town wont be heated.
