Do Honda Duralast batteries suck?
Sammy, Duralast batteries are made by Johnson Controls in the USA. Johnson Controls also makes Interstate, Everlast and recently bought the battery division @ Delphi who use to make AC-Delco. Recently Consumers reports rated Duralast, Interstate and Everlast near the top of every size category. It’s important to note that Auto Zone sells three different grades of Duralast batteries. The more you pay the longer the warranty period. Did you have your alternator checked for adequate voltage output. By hooking an inexpensive volt meter to the battery with the motor running the meter should read between 13.5 – 14.0 volts. *Unless the alternator is working properly, the most expensive battery of any brand will die within a day or two, particularly if you operate the heater blower motor and the headlights.
