Do High School courses or marks count towards entrance?

No. High school grades and courses are required for admission to direct entry faculties, such as Arts or Sciences. They are not considered when you apply to the BCom program. However, some International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are recognized by the U of A for transfer credit.
