Do hermit crabs need dry sand or moist sand?

Moist, almost like you would need to build a sand castle. They not only need it moist for the humidity so they can breathe but when they go under to molt the dry sand can collapse on them. Check out the link I provided for more info about how to have a proper setup for your crabs, they also have a great little store for everything you need. I just bought new shells and more food for mine and I got a free sample of organic soil that my hermits love.
