Do head gasket repair potions like ThermaGasket work?

to an extent. My 2000 Caddy was overheating a few years back and thermogasket fixed the problem for about 15000 miles. I have to reuse thermogasket once a year or so (and i drive 80 miles a day to work) to ‘refix’, but the product does what it says.
