Do have to be tall, skinny, have perfect teeth and look like a model to do well in the pageant?
No. American Coed Pageants are not known as “beauty pageants.” We do not have a height or weight requirement in our pageant. Since we do not have a swimsuit or fitness competition, we have winners each year in all sizes. All that is important is that you are confident in your appearance and select clothing that flatters you. Braces, glasses, skin problems, varying weights, vary heights, and many other conditions are all just a natural part of being young. The judges will score you where you are in life, just the way you are. Many of our Princess Queens are missing front teeth and many of our older Queens wear braces. American Coed Pageants are not the typical “walk across the stage” pageants where only appearance matters. Contestants’ appearance is important, but no more so than their unique personality, achievements and ability to get along with others.
