One suspects these erstwhile Canadian dayplayers were originally hired for their unusual physical characteristics, and not for their thespianic mastery. “The Lone Gunmen” puts one in the mind of the short-lived “AfterMASH,” another enterprise which featured bit players like Jamie Farr struggling helplessly to carry a weekly series. Harwood, especially, is a black hole in the charisma department.
