Women are the ones who desire having children more than men do. An abused or neglected boy isn’t nearly as likely to turn to having a child as a way to have something tell them “I love you” as a girl from the same situation. As for marriage, that might very well be considering there really isn’t any advantage for a man to be married, he runs the risk of losing a lot in a divorce.
