Do guys like when girls make the first move?
From what you have written I can honestly say that the fact that you made the first move took a whole lot of weight off his shoulders and it let him speak openly to you. Im in the same boat freaked to make the first move but once its done I know that I would be fine. Anyway you sound like a nice girl, word of warning the fact that he didnt make the first move hints his confidence may not be hitting the roof so just take it easy with him and you will be fine good luck hope it works out.
