Yes we do have to let go at some point, but when the friendship is based on unconditional love and respect, it can last practically forever! I have friendships that are back 20, 30 and one is 50 years! You can move on with your life and your friends too. All is in the expectation in the relationship. I believe you are a caring and loving person. When you love your friends; you live and let live. You respect their choices and you are there for each other in good and difficult times. You laugh, you cry, you learn from each other, etc… You are not abnormal dear heart. Many people are like you and it is not a bad thing to be loving and caring, but like many people, one has to love and care for oneself too in order to be happy. .
