Do fractals have any practical use (irrespective of antennas)?
Fractals have been applied as a descriptor of many physical structures such as terrain; clouds; vegetables; trees; anatomical organs; galactic clusters; lightning; and so on. They have been applied most successfully in engineering as a means of image compression and image enhancers. Fractal antennas are the most successful hardware implementation of fractal geometry.
