My son went to UCF in Orlando. He and his friends HATED Disney and all they stood for. The local government basically kissed b#tt with Disney while ignoring every one else. The city is overrun with tourists, and as such, everything is priced for tourists – expensive. Disney does offer a “local residency” discount, but it is still too expensive for the residents.
