House flies and fruit flies don’t bite. But around here, we have a lot of biting black flies, and I think their favorite snack is prehistoric fish, i.e., yours truly. They like to go for the ankles, where they are hard to swat, but I nailed one with my ball cap last week. It deserved to die a more horrible death than anything I could inflict, but I got the little f-er.
