Do flavored green teas have the same anti-cancer activity as plain green tea?

I have never seen any research evaluating flavored green tea products regarding their activity against cancer cells. However, I see no reason why they would not also be effective. The thing to know about green tea preparation is to NOT use boiling water. I had to learn this the hard way. Once someone told me how to properly prepare it, I enjoy plain green tea. Get the water hot, just below the boiling point, or if you let it boil, then let the water cool a couple of minutes first. Something very astringent is extracted with boiling water that makes green tea undrinkable for my tastes. However, I now drink ~1 quart of green tea daily. Enjoy!
