Do flame retardant plastics from Bayer MaterialScience contain PBB or PBDE?

0

No. In common with other well-known German plastics manufacturers, we have not used any polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) or polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) in the production of flame retardant plastics since 1989. We hereby confirm that no: PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) PCTs (polychlorinated terphenyls) PBBs (polybrominated biphenyls) PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers) are used in the production of the Bayer MaterialScience thermoplastics Apec®, Bayblend® and Makrolon®, and that to the best of our knowledge none of these substances can be present in the above products.
