Do fjord horses get laminitis easily?
Wouldn’t have thought they are any more prone to laminitis than any other horse, although they are probably designed to be fairly good do-ers as they come from Scandinavia which is not renowned for its lush grass! Like all native breeds, you should just have it in the back of your mind at all times, and make sure their weight is healthy. Most native horses are naturally designed to work quite hard for their food and also walk miles for it!
