Do fire bellied newts make good pets?

It depends what you’re looking for in pet tbh, I’ve found with such pets that they look great in the shops, and are cool animals. They’ll live well in captivity too, but you might get bored of them lol. At the moment, I’ve got 10 royal pythons, 5 cornsnakes, burmese python, blood python, desert iguanas, frilled dragons, tortioses, rats parrots, bee hives, frogs toads and have had ridiculous amounts of reptiles and amphibians in the past. I find with species that dont really like human interaction and do best if left in a tank, after a few months become a bit of a ”why did I do that?” obviously there will be people who love their newts and have huge collections so I can only speak for myself…I guess im just a snake man! If it’s amphibians you like though, Pyxicephalus adspersus (Giant african bullfrog) I’ve got one of those, and he’s an amazing character comes running up for feeding, hand feeds, and gets enormous!
