Do filters cancel the magnetic field?

0

Cancellation of the magnetic field portion (H-field) of monitor radiation can generally not be done by the product that we commonly call a monitor screen filter. What is needed is shielding by a magnetic absorbing material or cancellation by an opposite polarity field, neither of which is ordinarily done by screen filters. Some manufacturers state their filters reduce electromagnetic radiation when they should be stating the filter reduces E-field radiation. Others are simply misleading the customer.
