I don’t think that you can ever say ferrets will ALWAYS get on with cats, because it’s just not the case. However, it is perfectly possible for ferrets and cats to get along. It all just depends on the individual animals. I know that may seem like a bit of a cop-out answer, but unfortunately it’s the best answer I can give! There isn’t really any way of telling if your ferrets and cat/cats will get along, but if you decide to take a chance I can suggest that you gradually introduce the two together, to try and minimise either one perceiving the other as a threat. Usually, ferrets don’t really seem to have a problem with ANY animal. They will often give the new animal a hard play-bite to see what reaction it gets, but they aren’t usually initially aggressive if the introduction is controlled (i.e. someone holds the ferret and gently lowers it in front of the other animal for the ferret to be inspected…this way you can be sure to quickly grab the ferret out of the way if either one becom
