Do feminists really know what the word “Chauvinism” means, and how it was derived?

Yes I am aware of it’s true meaning and from where it was derived. When referring to perhaps sexist men people often shorten ‘male chauvinism’ to ‘chauvinism’, as the term has become constantly more distorted and this is where it is most commonly used. I think people seem to forget there is such a thing as ‘female chauvinism’, essentially sexist women. I’m a woman myself and don’t agree with some concepts of feminism, opting more for the more accurate gender equalism, as essentially feminists are doing exactly what men did, showing that we are no better than them. To prove women are better we would have to take the high road and claim we are equal to men, but doing this would infact make us better than men…what a conundrum. Anyway, when feminists say someone is a ‘male chauvinist pig’ this is infact correct, saying a man is a ‘chauvinist pig’ makes little sense.
