Do females wolves speak with a growly voice?
Can’t say I’ve ever heard a wolf speak, myself, but they can make a variety of noises besides growls – whines, whimpers, yelps, howls, etc., so there’s no reason to suppose a wolf would have a growly voice if it did speak. By the way, stories about the ‘big bad wolf’ are part of the reason so many people think of wolves as vicious, evil creatures, and has led to hundreds of years of persecution that have exterminated the wolf over much of its former range. Wolves are no more bad than any other animal – they just do what they have to in order to survive. In fact, they are affectionate, playful animals that mate for life and are devoted to their families, and there is no record of a healthy wolf ever attacking a human (all reports of ‘wolf attacks’, when investigated, have proved to be attacks by feral dogs, wolf-dog hybrids, or rabid wolves). Remember that the wolf is the ancestor of the domestic dog – without wolves, there would be no ‘man’s best friend’!
