Do fairies change seasons?
There are many different takes on fairies. Writers want to be original, and so describe fairies in their own way. Some say that there are different types of fairies (Summer, Water, Leaf, Wind) and others say that they change seasons, or can affect nature. Some say that they are a part of flowers. Eoin Colfer even says that they are all the magical creatures, which are mostly ‘human-sized’. But I’d say that the first, original stories of fairies would be the most accurate. Therefore, in my research, I have found that fairies are specifically creatures of the air, which pertains only to the Autumn. In order for them to change seasons, they would need to consist of all elements. But there are other creatures that have different elements such as a gnome, of Earth. I’m not entirely sure what Undines are, but since ‘Unda’ in latin means ‘water’ I think that they would be of that element. And a pheonix, of course, would be of fire. There are many others, too.
