Do extreme hot or cold temperatures have any effects on the battery powered tools?
Yes! Although these tools are designed to be used in all types of weather conditions, extreme hot or cold temperatures will effect tool performance. Extremely hot temperatures, above 110 degrees F will cause the battery to heat up rapidly and may reduce crimping cycles. It may also increase cycle times caused by thinning hydraulic fluid at these temperatures. Extremely cold temperatures, below -10 degrees F will cause the hydraulic fluid to be thicker, and related components to slow causing reduced cycles. Prior to using the tools in these cold temperatures, it is recommended to allow the tool to warm to room temperature for optimal performance.
