DO evolutionist believe the universe came from nothing?
‘Evolutionist’ is not a word. It was made up by creationists to make it sound like evolution is a religion and not a science. It’s not religion. It’s solid science. Science does not require belief. It has evidence to support it. The vast majority of scientists accept evolution as the best explanation for how life changes over time. That has nothing at all to do with the beginning of the universe. Please get your basic sciences straight, or no one will take you seriously. There’s no evidence at all for gods. There’s plenty of evidence for the laws of physics, and several possible physical ways the universe could have come into being. Hawking is only speaking for himself, not all physicists.
1. “Evolutionists” believe in the diversity of species on this planet being result of a process called evolution. This doesn’t say anything about their preferred cosmology. Your mixing up of two completely different fields of science only highlights that you are already deaf and blind inside… 2. Because your god is just one of many that humans created in various religious scriptures in the past 18,000 years. Why is your God better than Shiva? 3. Your god doesn’t explain why hot iron glows red, and still you believe him? What a weak god is that, who doesn’t know the secret of steel! 4. That the Universe from our view came into the world from nothing is not hard to understand. Imagine you sitting in your house when a truck suddenly drives through it without you seeing the truck coming. Inside your house, there is no explanation for the damage, except the truck shaped holes in the walls. Causality assumes that there is a time-line, if you have no time (like you have “before” the Big Ban
1. There is no such thing as an “evolutionist.” 2. The theory of evolution through natural selection is a theory in biology, and has nothing to do with astronomy or cosmology. It has stood up to a century and a half of tests, and is still rock solid. 3. Stellar evolution and the evolution of the universe is a completely different subject, and the theory of evolution through natural selection has absolutely no relevance to it. 4. _Evolution_ is something that is _observed_: changes take place over time leading from the simple to the complex. No theory is involved: it is simply an observed fact. Theories (such as natural selection in biology) are put forward to explain the course of evolution, but you must _never_ confuse the observed facts with the theories. 5. Invoking God is never an acceptable theory in science, since it explains nothing and is not testable in any way. 6. Please keep science and religion as two separate categories. Every good scientist and theologian is capable of do
