Do ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERS travel a lot?

Who are all these civil engineers that travel a lot? I sit in the office 10 hours a day designing and drafting. My past internships were about the same, I rarely left the office with the exception of dropping off plans to the planning board or going on a short site visit. I think my eyesight has gotten worse because I sit behind a computer monitor all day long staring at it. The Environmental engineer in the office rarely leaves also since he is busy doing paperwork for all the environmental permits and only goes out to file paperwork with the county.
