DO EMPLOYEES HAVE TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION WHEN THEY TAKE SICK LEAVE?
If a worker takes more than 3 consecutive days of paid sick leave, the employer can request documentation from a health care professional. If the employer requests this documentation but the worker does not have health insurance, then the employer has to reimburse the employee for the costs incurred in obtaining this documentation.
