Do employees get time off to volunteer?
IBM employees who do volunteer will not be paid for their time as part of the Celebration of Service. The company encourages managers to work with employees so they can be strong contributors in both the workplace and the community. IBM has a workplace flexibility policy that can be used by employees to develop time for volunteer activities, while taking into account the needs of the business. Workplace flexibility means varying your daily arrival time and arranging your work week hours within limits established by local management.
