Do emo kids really cut themselves?
well to be EMO is to be sad well most kids just throw fits when they are mad but EMO kids well (real EMO) kids cut themselfs to feel like releved from stress and problems they have in there lifes like bleeding releves it well thats what i have gottin out if the emo kids i have met! i hope this helps!
“Emo” in the superficial sense usually embraced by young people is mostly a matter of attitude, musical taste and fashion sense. Whereas self-injury is more a matter of being emotionally troubled and/or seriously depressed, and using self-injury as a means of escape or relief. And while there is a fair amount of overlap, the two are far from synonymous. I’ve known some people who fit the mould of “Emo” perfectly in appearance and attitude, but who I also knew for a fact had never hurt themselves. And on the other hand, I’ve known some people who had serious issues with self-injury addiction, but otherwise were just like any other “Normal” person (Well, apart from the scars). It just goes to show that you never can get an accurate impression of someone if you only go by stereotypes.
Emo kids absolutely DO NOT cut themselves. Those are POSERS, people who are trying to fit in with the emo kids. Actually, the word “emo” comes from the root word “emotional.” (Emo)tional. That is because emo kids are people who are actually emotional. For example, if they are happy, they show it. If they are sad, then you can really tell that they are sad. Emo isnt something that you can become. Its really something that you have to be born with. Dont confuse emos with posers! Or scenes with emos! Scenes are a mixture of emo and preppy. They DO NOT cut themselves. They are addicted to neon clothes and neon make-up. They usually wear skinny jeans and tight shirts with band names on it and converses, like some emos. They are obsessed with little kiddy stuff like Hello Kitty and Japanese animes.
LOOK IM emo and i know whats its like to cut my self n fact i have cuts on me right now but kids that cut themself just to be cool its not cool or funny, emos cut them self because they are very depressed not cuz they’re bf or gf dump them cuz things that happened or is going on right now in they’re lifes that drives me to cut myself, and when i do that it relivis all the depressing thing and i conterstringht on the pain. PS im a really bad speller sorry And never make fun of was and btw some of us are suicidal and if you make fun of and emo person i might of killed them cuz the prob killed them self cuz of YOU!
