Do ECHO probes need to be calibrated?

0

It depends on how much accuracy you would like from your results and what type of medium you are working in. The accuracy of the ECHO probe is +/- 3% in most soils. Organic soils and soils with high electrical conductivity can decrease the accuracy. If you are concerned about accuracy, we recommend you calibrate the probes, see our application note on recommended calibration procedure.
