We do not feel making the claim that a sock can absorb shock is a legitimate claim. Insoles and shoes absorb shock. Socks can, however, cushion the foot. There is a big difference between absorbing shock and cushioning. We have yet to see any evidence provided by another sock manufacturer of how well their socks actually absorb shock.
